What Makes Brynell Different
Reading-Led Format
Sessions are structured around a curated reading list rather than lectures. Participants arrive having read, then discuss together — at a considered pace.
Small, Stable Cohorts
Groups are capped at 6–12 participants. You meet the same people each session, which allows discussion to develop depth rather than staying at surface level.
Purely Educational
No advice is offered. Brynell's role is to provide vocabulary, frameworks, and structured discussion space — not to direct your decisions.
Soft, Considered Tone
Content is written and facilitated for adults who may be approaching these topics after years of avoidance. No pressure, no jargon, no urgency language.
Central Singapore Location
Sessions are held at OCBC Centre in the CBD — accessible from most parts of the island, with dining options nearby for post-session reflection.
Tangible Reading Materials
Each programme includes printed workbooks or a clothbound reading binder — materials designed to remain useful long after the sessions conclude.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who are these programmes designed for?
Brynell programmes are designed for adults aged 40 and above in Singapore who want to develop a more considered understanding of household financial topics. Participants come from varied backgrounds — some are navigating a mid-life transition, others want to begin thinking ahead, and others want to improve communication with family members about shared finances.
Is this financial advice?
No. Brynell programmes are educational in nature. We do not offer financial advice, investment recommendations, or regulated financial services. Sessions are structured around reading materials and facilitated discussion. If you need personalised financial advice, we encourage you to consult a licensed financial adviser.
How are sessions structured?
Each session is workbook-led or reading-led. Participants are given materials in advance and are expected to have read them before arriving. Sessions then begin with a brief opening passage from the facilitator, followed by structured discussion in small groups or as a full cohort. The pace is deliberately unhurried.
What is the cohort size?
Cohort sizes are kept small to preserve the quality of discussion. The Long-Term Planning Reading Series accommodates up to twelve participants. The Household Communication Workshop runs with six to ten. The Mid-Life Budget Reset Workshop is flexible but similarly small. Once a cohort is full, we hold enquiries for the next available intake.
Where do sessions take place?
All sessions are held at our reading space at 65 Chulia Street, #18-04, OCBC Centre, Singapore 049513. The venue is accessible via the Raffles Place MRT station. Parking is available in the building.
What is included in the programme fee?
Programme fees cover all printed reading materials (workbook, ledger template, binder, or scenario cards depending on programme), all session attendance, and any included follow-up reflection circles. Fees are listed in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are payable in full at the time of registration.
